A XV. kolozsvári filmfesztivál keretében olyan alkotások kerülnek vetítésre, amelyek a város szellemi életéhez kapcsolódnak. Radu Jude kortárs román filmrendező filmjeiben gyakran találkozunk a traumatikus történelmi múlt feldolgozásának igényével, kísérletező filmnyelvi megoldásokkal, a zsánerek eklektikus ötvözésével és végül a kritikus, politizáló szerzői beszédmóddal. A rendező ezúttal többek között a városfilmek és az olasz neorealizmus hagyományaira támaszkodva egy kolozsvári történetet beszél el. A Kontinental ’25 tizenegy nap alatt készült el, felülírva a filmkészítés hagyományos módszereit, a Berlinale filmfesztiválon mégis elnyerte az Ezüst medve díjat a legjobb forgatókönyvért. A film főszereplője a végrehajtóként dolgozó Orsolya, akinek egy nap ki kell lakoltatnia egy pincében élő hajléktalan férfit, hogy az ingatlan helyére egy luxusszálloda épülhessen. A kilakoltatás katasztrofális következményekkel jár, aminek következtében Orsolya erkölcsi dilemmákba ütközik.

În cadrul celui de-al XV-lea ediție ale Zilelor Filmului Maghiar la Cluj vor fi proiectate documente vizuale legate de viața intelectuală a orașului. În filmele regizorului contemporan român Radu Jude întâlnim adesea nevoia de a procesa trecutul istoric traumatic, soluții cinematografice experimentale, o combinație eclectică de genuri și, în final, un discurs critic și politizat al autorului. De data aceasta, regizorul povestește o istorie din Cluj, bazându-se, printre altele, pe tradițiile filmelor urbane și ale neorealismului italian. Kontinental ’25 a fost realizat în doar unsprezece zile, depășind metodele tradiționale de realizare a filmelor, dar a câștigat totuși premiul Ursul de Argint pentru cel mai bun scenariu la Festivalul de Film Berlinale. Personajul principal al filmului este Orsolya, executor judecătoresc, care într-o zi trebuie să evacueze un bărbat fără adăpost care locuiește într-o pivniță, pentru ca în locul imobilului să poată fi construit un hotel de lux. Evacuarea are consecințe catastrofale, în urma cărora Orsolya se confruntă cu dileme morale.
Proiecția va fi urmată de o discuție cu protagonista filmului, Tompa Eszter.

During the 15th Hungarian Film Days in Cluj there will be screened films related to the intellectual life of the city. The films of contemporary Romanian director Radu Jude often deal with the need to come to terms with a traumatic historical past, featuring experimental cinematic techniques, an eclectic mix of genres, and finally a critical, politicized authorial voice. This time, the director tells a story set in Cluj, drawing on the traditions of city films and Italian neorealism, among other things. Kontinental '25 was made in eleven days, overturning traditional filmmaking methods, yet it won the Silver Bear for Best Screenplay at the Berlinale film festival. The protagonist of the movie is Orsolya, a bailiff, who one day has to evict a homeless man living in a basement so that a luxury hotel can be built on the site. The eviction has disastrous consequences, causing Orsolya to face moral dilemmas.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with the film's lead actress, Tompa Eszter.
